To remotely access a computer on campus with an iOS device (iphone/ipad) you’ll need to first connect securely via VPN.
View the VPN guide for iOS.
On your iOS device, open Settings, select General, then VPN
Once VPN setup is complete, we’re ready to open Microsoft Remote Desktop. You can download the Microsoft Remote Desktop app from the Apple App store.
Open the Microsoft Remote Desktop app from your Home Screen.
Select the + symbol to add a new connection.
Add New Desktop
Add your computer’s unique hostname using the format hostname.ad.utulsa.edu and select Done
Select User Account to save your password so you are not prompted each time you connect.
Select Add User Account
Enter your User Name and password using the format utulsa\TUNetID (example: utulsa.edu\abc1234), then select Save.
Select Save on the Desktop settings screen.
To start the remote connection, ensure VPN is currently connected (iOS Settings > General > VPN), then select your computer in the Remote Desktop list.
If you receive a certificate warning, enable Don’t ask me again for connection to this computer then press Accept.
You should now be remotely connected to your TU computer.
